A couple months in at our new location, and things are HOPPING!
Toasters, pants, glasses, lamps, wheels, sweaters, dull knives, bikes of all kinds were repaired today!
Another great day at Community Shop Class, where it was nice and warm, with plenty of food and drink.
5 Year Anniversary!
We are so gratified and proud to have been part of this community for five years. As is fitting, this day was filled with new friends and old hands that have been here since day one.
February ‘22
Some of the machines repaired today: multiple lamps, Bose wave radio, vacuum cleaner, cordless drill
Some of the items mended or sewn today: dining room chair re-upholstered, pants sewn, jacket mended, shirt sewn
Some of the bike work today: Multiple kids’ bikes given away!, tune-ups, stem repairs, alignments, tire repairs
Some of the food & drinks shared today: homemade strawberry cake, fresh grapes, chocolate cookies, oatmeal cookies, croissants, kambucha, chai tea and coffee
December ‘21
Some of the machines repaired today: Dyson vacuum cleaner, Makita cordless drill, Industrial fan, DeWalt corded drill
Some of the items mended or sewn today: knit
Some of the bike work today: Multiple bikes given away!, bike tune-ups, tire repairs
Some of the food & drinks shared today: homemade apple cider (thanks, Dennis!), fresh grapes, chocolate cookies, ginger snaps, croissants, chai tea and coffee
October ‘21 (Grand Re-Opening)
Some of the machines repaired today: vacuum cleaner, wall A/C unit, lamp toaster oven, old sewing machine
Some of the items mended or sewn today: pants, shorts, stuffed animals, bean bags (sewn for kids’ craft project)
Some of the bike work today: tricycle tune-up, kids’ bike repaired, tire inflation
Some of the food & drinks shared today: fresh strawberries, cookies, cake, brownies, pumpkin pie, tea and coffee
